WASHINGTON, DC - The U.S. Department of Energy is delivering a cargo of 125,000 barrels of crude oil to Alon USA’s Krotz Springs, Louisiana refinery.  Following the delivery to Alon, a delivery of 250,000 barrels will be delivered to Marathon Oil through the Redstick Pipeline.

The oil was requested by the companies because of disruptions in supply caused by Hurricanes Gustav and Ike.
