Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How do I get on the Portland District mailing list?

Portland District no longer maintains a mailing list. We post all requirements over $25,000 on FedBizOpps (see question 2 below) and leave it up to the vendor/contractor to monitor it daily. Another source of information about Portland district contracting opportunities is the Portland District Contracting web page (see question 2 below).

  2. How do I find out about current bid offerings?

Current bid offerings will be posted on the Portland District Contracting
    Division web site at www.nwp.usace.army.mil/ct.
In addition, FedBizOpps at www.fedbizopps.gov. is the single point of entry for governmentwide procurement opportunities. You can go there to see Portland District's as well as all other Federal Agency's contracting opportunities.

  3. Does the Portland District provide support for any military installations?

Unlike many other Corps' districts, the Portland District is a Civil Works district only and so, does not supply any support to the military. Seattle District would offer the only opportunities in the area for military specific procurements.
