Antarctic Treaty

Site of the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR), it gives an introduction to the Antarctic Treaty System, and provides links to the full text of the treaty, information on signatories and consultative parties. Also links to information on current and previous meetings as well as to working papers.

The database is searchable by year, category, topic, or text. Site also links to: final reports from the Antarctic Treaty Consultative Meetings (ATCM), the online catalog to their Documentation Centre [library], and provides links to about 75 major online resources, including the International Polar Year 2007-2008. The site is available in English, Spanish, French, and Russian.
