Raina Kim is a program officer in the Institute’s Education and Training Center/Domestic. She manages the National Peace Essay Contest, designed to engage students and teachers in issues of international conflict management and resolution, and is spearheading the Institute’s online educational activities for secondary school students. Before joining the Institute, Kim was an information associate in the Office of Public Affairs and the Ministry of Culture at the Embassy of Korea in Washington, D.C. Previously she was an editor of an economic journal at LG Economic Institute. She has also taught English as a second language in Korea to diverse audiences, including K–12 students, government officials, and senior corporate managers.

Kim earned her B.A. in finance from James Madison University. She holds an M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction from George Mason University, with a specialization in design of instruction and use of technology for enhancing learning environments.
