In February 2002, the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence agreed to conduct a Joint Inquiry into the activities of the U.S. Intelligence Community in connection with the terrorist attacks perpetrated against the United States on September 11, 2001. This report (available as both S. Rept. 107-351 and H. Rept. 107-792) consists of 832 pages (as a single file in PDF Format only) that presents the joint inquiry's findings and conclusions, an accompanying narrative, and a series of recommendations.

The Oklahoma City National Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism is a nonprofit corporation that is dedicated to preventing and reducing terrorism. The institute was formed as a living memorial to the victims of the April 19, 1995 bombing of the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. Includes information for first responders, a searchable library catalog for counter-terrorism related material, a calendar of significant events and dates, links to useful websites, and information about upcoming counterterrorism-related events.

The Oklahoma City National Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism (MIPT) is one of three components of the Oklahoma City National Memorial. MIPT acts as a research and educational resource center for the prevention and deterrence of terrorism or the mitigation of its effects.

The U.S. Department of State offers the full text of a report entitled "Patterns of Global Terrorism--2000." The report notes that there were 423 international terrorist attacks in 2000, in which 405 persons were killed and 791 were wounded. The report highlights the terroristic incidents for areas in Africa, Asia, Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
