Learning Management System

The Learning Management  System, (LMS) is a university-style training management data system that has been designed to capture and manage student and course information for the Survey & Certification training program.

Participants will learn how to use the LMS version 6.5.  They will become familiar with key components of the system, learn required processes, and understand how the system relates to all phases of the Survey & Certification surveyor training program.

Objective of the course: This course is designed for State Survey Agency and CMS Regional Office training administrators and others individuals who are required to manage day-to-day  training-administrative activities.  Upon completion of this course the user will be able to:

Describe the Learning Management System (LMS)

Understand the tools and functions in the Administration Center

Manage data about participants

Manage data about learning elements

Manage resources

Assign training to participants and enroll participants in training

Communicate with participants

Manage changing data

Use LMS features

Track participant data using reports

The course is divided into modules.  Each module contains different learning objectives, as well as guided group activities and independent exercises. Each participant will practice the concepts necessary to use the LMS effectively. A summary at the end of each module provides reinforcement for critical concepts.
