  RMKS/1. THIS MARADMIN ANNOUNCES ESTABLISHMENT OF THE MCCIA AWARDS
  PROGRAM. THIS AWARD, WHICH WILL BE PRESENTED ANNUALLY, REPRESENTS
  A SUPERB OPPORTUNITY TO RECOGNIZE AN ACTIVE DUTY MARINE CORPS
  COUNTERINTELLIGENCE (CI) OFFICER, HUMAN RESOURCES INTELLIGENCE
  OFFICER OR CI SPECIALIST (0210, 0204, 0211). THIS AWARD IS INTENDED
  TO RECOGNIZE OUTSTANDING INDIVIDUAL ACHIEVEMENTS AND NOT THOSE OF
  UNITS.
  2. THE AWARD WILL BE PRESENTED FOR OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT DURING
  THE PREVIOUS CALENDAR YEAR IN THE CONDUCT OF CI INVESTIGATIONS,
  OPERATIONS, COLLECTIONS, ANALYSIS AND PRODUCTION OR OTHER CI
  ACTIVITIES IN SUPPORT OF MILITARY OPERATIONS.
  3. NOMINATIONS FOR CY01 ARE TO BE SUBMITTED TO THE DIRECTOR OF
  INTELLIGENCE (ATTN: IOC), TO ARRIVE NLT 31 MARCH 2002. NOMINATIONS           
             ARE TO BE IN UNCLASSIFIED, NARRATIVE FORM AND WILL DESCRIBE THE
  ACHIEVEMENT AND ITS IMPACT ON OR IMPORTANCE TO CI SUPPORT TO DOD
  REQUIREMENTS. A BRIEF UNCLASSIFED BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH OF THE
  NOMINEE IS TO BE INCLUDED WITH THE AWARD NOMINATION.
  4. THE FORMAT FOR THE AWARD NOMINATION WILL BE:
     (A). FONT - TIMES NEW ROMAN, SIZE 12.
     (B). BODY (NOT TO EXCEED TWO PAGES) WILL INCLUDE:
          (1). NAME.
          (2). ORGANIZATION.
          (3). MAILING ADDRESS.
          (4). PHONE AND FAX NUMBERS.
          (5). SUMMARY OF ACHIEVEMENTS.
          (6). SIGNIFICANCE OF ACHIEVEMENTS.
     (C). BIOGRAPHY (NOT TO EXCEED ONE PAGE).
  5. IOC WILL FORWARD NOMINEE PACKAGES DURING APRIL 2002 TO THE
  MCCIA BOARD OF DIRECTORS. SELECTION BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
  WILL BE BASED ON SIGNIFICANCE OF ACHIEVEMENT, PROFESSIONAL AND
  PERSONAL QUALITIES EXHIBITED, RELATIVE DIFFICULTY AND COMPLEXITY
  OF THE ACHIEVEMENT, AND LEVEL OF IMAGINATION, RESOURCEFULNESS,
  OR INNOVATION EXHIBITED IN THE ACHIEVEMENT.
  6. PRESENTATION OF THE AWARD WILL BE CONDUCTED AT A CEREMONY             
             DURING MCCIA'S ANNUAL MEETING SCHEDULED FOR AUGUST 2002.//
