Where can I find more information and the most recent alerts about avian influenza? (Armed Services)

Carolyn Bridges
Associate Director for Science

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

There’s a tremendous amount of information that’s available from many different sources on the Internet, www.pandemicflu.gov is one of those sites.  There’s also additional information on the CDC Web site about Avian Influenza tracking as well as influenza pandemic preparedness.  There are many activities going on, not only at the federal level, but at the state and local levels, and also partnering with groups such as faith-based groups and other parts of industry, essential community services, healthcare, et cetera, to try and help people get prepared for a pandemic should it occur.
