MOBILITY IMPAIRED HUNTING APPLICATIONS DUE AUG. 15


RUSSELLVILLE, Ark., Aug. 1 -- The Army Corps of Engineers is taking applications through Aug. 15 for special 2008 deer and duck hunts designed to provide accessibility to hunters whose mobility is permanently or severely impaired by paralysis or amputation.

These special hunts on federal property are being provided through a partnership with the Corps’ Little Rock District, US Fish and Wildlife Service, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and Arkansas Rehabilitation Services. Applicants will have a choice of 13 hunting locations in Arkansas, Missouri and Louisiana this year.
