Biodefense Hearing

The Senate HELP Subcommittee on Bioterrorism and Public Health Preparedness (Senator Richard Burr [R-NC], Chairman) held a hearing on biodefense issues. Testifying for the Department was Dr. William Raub, Deputy Assistant Secretary, Office of Public Health Emergency Preparedness, HHS. Dr. Carole Heilman, Director, Division of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, NIAID, accompanied Dr. Raub to address NIH biodefense-related questions.
