2. Van Buren's Liberty Gold (24-Karat) Coin Now Available!

The final one-half ounce, $10 24-karat Gold First Spouse Coin of 2008 is now available. It features Martin Van Buren's Liberty in both proof and uncirculated conditions. A reproduction of the Liberty Seated Dime graces the obverse of this stunning coin, while the reverse depicts a young Van Buren at the family-operated tavern in the village of Kinderhook, New York. 3. Native American $1 Coins Released Early Next Year
A Native American woman planting seeds in a field of corn, beans and squash and the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and $1.

Beginning in 2009, the United States Mint will mint and issue $1 coins featuring designs celebrating the important contributions made by Indian tribes and individual Native Americans to the history and development of the United States. The "Sacagawea" design, first appearing in 2000, will remain on the obverse of the coin, while the reverse design will change each year. The 2009 Native American $1 Coin reverse features a Native American woman planting seeds in a field of corn, beans and squash, representing "Three Sisters Agriculture," and the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and $1.


4. The Eighth Presidential $1 Coin
