Introduced in 2007, the American Presidency $1 Coin Cover Series showcases the new Presidential $1 Coins. Eighth in the series is the 2008 Martin Van Buren $1 Coin Cover. This limited-edition cover – only 50,000 will be produced – features two Martin Van Buren $1 Coins from the first day of production at each facility, September 2, 2008 (Philadelphia), and September 3, 2008 (Denver). Each cover includes two $1 coins, one each from the United States Mints at Philadelphia and Denver, on a handsome display card with one of the four U.S. 42-cent Flags 24/7 postage stamps. Additionally, the cover features a portrait of our eighth President in front of an American flag. The postmark of November 13, 2008, Kinderhook, NY marks the day the Martin Van Buren $1 Coins were first released to the public.
