September 18th, 2008 is the kick off the 5th Annual World Water Monitoring Day, a month-long effort. World Water Monitoring Day(tm) is an international education and outreach program that builds public awareness and involvement in protecting water resources around the world by engaging citizens to conduct basic monitoring of their local water bodies.
