Again in 2009, there will be an East Symposium and a West Symposium. The symposia are open to Federal employees and contractors currently representing their Federal agencies.

The Symposium East, hosted by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), National Institutes of Health (NIH), will be held at the Natcher Conference Center (building 45), on June 16 - 18, 2009, from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The conference center is located on the campus of the NIH, 9000 Rockville Pike, Bethesda, MD 20892. Government ID will be required for entry to the NIH campus.

There will be Green Purchasing Training offered again this year at Symposium East for government employees.  Certificates will be issued upon completion but you will need to check with your Agency on whether it will count toward acquisition training.  More information on Green Purchasing Training will be available soon.

The Symposium West, sponsored by the Commander Navy Region Southwest, will be held at the Great Wolf Lodge, 20500 Old Highway 99, SW, Grand Mound, WA 98531, on June 2-4, 2009.

This year, a small admission fee will be collected from each participant (attendees, exhibitors and presenters) for both symposiums to cover the costs of registration. More information will be available soon.
