Corps schedules morning closures at John Day navigation lock
PORTLAND, Ore. — The navigation lock at the John Day Dam facility will close to river traffic from 6 a.m. to noon on Feb. 28, Feb. 29 and March 1, to prepare the downstream lift gate machinery for repairs during the annual two-week closure scheduled between March 8 and March 22.
The John Day Lock and Dam is located at exit 109 off Interstate 84. At this time no part of the dam is open for public access.
