Bradford Island fishing area at Bonneville Dam to close July 18 and 19

Portland, Ore. – The Bradford Island fishing area at Bonneville Lock and Dam will close on July 18 and July 19 for scheduled road maintenance. The fishing area will reopen at 7 a.m. July 20.

Vehicle traffic to the Bradford Island Visitor Center on the Oregon shore will not be affected by the closure, Corps officials said.

The Robins Island and Tanner Creek fishing areas in Oregon (open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.), and the North Shore and Hamilton Island fishing areas in Washington (open from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.) will operate under their normal schedules on July 18 and July 19.

Bonneville Lock and Dam is located 40 miles east of Portland. From Portland, follow Interstate 84 to exit 40 to reach Bradford Island Visitor Center, or follow Washington State Route 14 to mile post 40 to visit the Washington Shore Visitor Complex.
