Fishing areas, visitor center will reopen at noon.

Portland, Ore. -- The Bradford Island Visitor Center and two fishing areas at Bonneville Lock and Dam will be closed Wednesday, Sept. 22, from 7 a.m. to noon due to repair work on the dam's swing bridge. The fishing areas at Bradford and Robins islands on the Oregon shore will reopen at noon and remain open until 5 p.m.

The Washington shore visitor center will be open as normal from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The visitor centers on both Oregon and Washington shores offer a variety of historic displays featuring videos, posters and maps. Guests can watch video presentations describing the dam's history and construction, or get a fish-eye view of salmon and other fish migrating up the dam's fish ladders.

Bradford Island Visitor Center on the Oregon side of the Columbia River is located at Exit 40 off Interstate 84. The Washington Shore Visitor Center is located on Washington State Highway 14 at milepost 40.
