Oklahoma Technical Resources

Welcome to the Technical Resources portion of the Oklahoma web site.  The following items are currently available, and may be viewed by selecting the appropriate title located in the left border.

Oklahoma Standard Drawings

To assist in the design of engineering practices, the following standard drawings have been developed.  These drawings can be used as a starting point in developing a set of drawings for a site specific practice design.  These drawings should only be used by engineers and others experienced in conservation practice design.

eFOTG

The Oklahoma Field Office Technical Guide (FOTG) contains a vast array of technical information to assist in the planning, design, installation, and operation and maintenance of conservation practices.  Also included in the FOTG is natural resource information, standard and specifications.

Oklahoma Standard Forms

To assist in the planning and design of conservation practices, the following standard forms have been developed.  These forms can be used as a starting point in developing a site specific conservation practice design.  These forms should only be used by persons experienced in conservation practice design.

Oklahoma GIS -  Geographic Information Systems

GIS Technical Information, Resources, Tools, Models, Maps and Data:

  • Oklahoma Rapid Watershed Assessment Maps
  • 10 acre MIADS Landuse Tables
  • National Resources Inventory (NRI) data

Operation & Maintenance Plans

To assist in the development of written operation and maintenance plans, the following guide sheets have been developed.  These can be used as a starting point in developing a site specific operation and maintenance plan.  The key to extending the life of any conservation practice is with a fully implemented operation and maintenance plan.

Oklahoma Design Tools

To assist in the planning and design of conservation practices, the following tools have been developed for use in Oklahoma.  These tools can be used as a starting point in developing site specific conservation practices.  These tools should only be used by conservationists experienced in conservation practice design and proper use of the specific tool being used.

Soils

This item includes all the soils reports for each county, listed in a county alphabetical list.

Manuals and Handbooks

To assist in the planning and design of conservation practices, the following guidance documents have been put in electronic format.  These documents include national versions and state supplements in an easy to use side-by-side format.

Specifications

To assist in the development of standard bid packages, this page provides links to the NRCS National Construction and Material Specifications Web Pages as well as Oklahoma Interim Specifications, which include parent specifications, guide sheets, and items of work and construction details.
