Project Synopsis

PROMIS Comment Number 6The project is located at City of Chino, San Bernardino County, CA.The goal of the project is to restore the 1-2 acres of the existing, highly degraded riparian habitat along a small stream that flows into Chino Creek to roughly 12 acres of more naturally functioning riparian habitat. The sponsor for this project, Inland Empire Utilities Agency, has expressed a particular interest in providing habitat for wildlife, especially threatened and endangered birds. The proposed project would restore the ecological function and habitat values of the degraded stream to conditiions that are the same or similar to those of the naturally occurring riparian characteristic of the project area.

Project Status

10-Mar-2005 -- Status
PRP was approved in July 2003. DPR was initiated in Sep '03; $70,000 has been provided to date for the DPR.Feasibility Study on hold pending the allocation of additional funds. Did not receive FY05 funds.
