High View Park

Located in north central Texas, High View Park is located on the western shore of Bardwell Lake. The park is located on a long peninsula just south of State Highway 34. High View Park offers 11 campsites with water and 50-amp electric service, 28 campsites with water and 30-amp electric service, and 10 picnic sites. The park also features 1 designated swimming area, 2 vault restrooms, 1 waterborne restroom with showers, 1 - four lane boat ramp, and a dump station. A $4.00 fee is required for non-campers to use the dump station. The gatehouse located at the park entrance is open from 6:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. Gates close at 10:00 P.M. A night exit is available for campers who leave after 10:00 P.M. Gate attendants live on site and are available 24 hours per day in case of emergency. All user fees are collected at the gatehouse.

Mott Park

Mott Park- The park consists of approximately 270 acres with development on approximately 54 acres, and is located on the west side of the lake. Access to the area is a paved road that connects to FM 985. Existing facilities include an attended entrance station, sanitary dump station, 33 campsites with water and electric hook-ups, 7 campsites without hook-ups, one vault toilet and one waterborne restroom with showers, one 4-lane boat ramp, one courtesy dock, one group camping shelter, two designated fishing areas, and one swim beach with 3 covered benches. The group camping shelter has facilities to accommodate 4 recreational vehicles and up to 100 people.

The recreation season opens April 1 and closes on September 30 each year.

Waxahachie Creek Park

Waxahachie Creek Park - The park is located in the upper reaches of the lake along the Waxahachie Creek arm of the lake. The park consists of approximately 205 acres with development on 63 acres. A paved county road leading from State Highway 34 provides access to the park. Existing facilities include an attended entrance station, one sanitary dump station, 69 campsites with water and electric hook-ups, 7 campsites without hook-ups, 13 picnic sites, 4 vault toilets, 2 shower facilities, two 4-lane boat ramps, one nature trail and one group camping shelter. The group camping shelter has facilities to accommodate 8 recreational vehicles and up to 200 people.The park is open year-round.
