Injury Prevention Basic Certificate Course. October, 2008
The Injury Prevention Basic Certificate Course, which features video-lectures and accompanying PowerPoint slides on a CD-ROM that can be used at times and in places convenient to the learner, is an affordable and effective injury prevention training program that can fit into the schedules of busy professionals. The idea for the course originated with the Delaware Coalition for Injury Prevention, whose members felt that there was a critical need for a training program for professionals who had been assigned injury prevention responsibilities, but did not have any formal training in the field. The course is designed for anyone who provides injury prevention services, and it consists of eight modules on a variety of injury and programmatic topics.
