Kentucky's Pandemic Infuenza Summit
Governor Ernie Fletcher and U.S. Health and Human Services (HHS) Deputy Secretary Alex Azar II were joined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Julie Gerberding and other officials at Kentucky's Pandemic Readiness and Emergency Planning Summit held on January 20, 2006 at the Frankfort Convention Center. More than 500 representatives from business, schools, state and local government, emergency responders, hospitals, and others met to discuss local, state and national preparations for an influenza pandemic.
