| The Plans and Resources Flight is directly responsible for
Communications & Information systems planning, integration and implementation management; and provides Quality Assurance support for 10 CS contractors. This flight manages Information Assurance services, communications security, computer security, and the Information Assurance Awareness programs. Establishes policy and implements procedures for properly managing information through the Freedom of Information Act. Provides oversight and maintenance for personal communications systems as well as policy, guidance, administration and quality control for USAFA Spectrum/Frequency Management of assigned frequencies and on-base/off-base spectrum/frequency allocations. The flight is directly responsible for activities related to unit deployment planning for Comm systems and personnel; budgeting and financial management; Information Technology (IT) acquisition and IT life-cycle management. The Plans and Resources Flight also provides official telephone service, base information infrastructure maintenance, repairs telephone outages as well as telephone operator services to include operator assistance for conferences, morale calls and directory assistance.
