Music Division

Jon Newsom, Chief, Music Division, provided administrative support and subject expertise.

Mark Horowitz, Music Specialist from the Acquisitions and Processing section, has been responsible for the processing of the Leonard Bernstein collection, and has been an integral part of the plans and preparations for the on-line collection.

Albert Tucker, Technician from the Acquisitions and Processing section, has been working on the processing of the Leonard Bernstein Collection since June of 1995. Much of the work on the Personal Correspondence and the Writings is the result of his efforts.

National Digital Library Program

Morgan Cundiff, Senior Digital Conversion Specialist, served as project leader, and was responsible for bibliographic database design and conversion of the Leonard Bernstein Collection finding aid to SGML/EAD format.

Carl Fleischhauer, Technical Coordinator, assisted with project planning and served as technical consultant on imaging issues.

Glenn Ricci, Digital Conversion Specialist, was responsible for web site design and construction including all graphic design and HTML coding.

Tracey Salley, Digital Conversion Specialist, aided Glenn Ricci in the coding of the HTML pages.

Paul Fraunfelter, Digital Conversion Specialist, assisted with collection pre-production, copyright clearance, and bibliographic database editing, and coordinated scanning and image quality review.

David Arbury, Digital Conversion Specialist, digitized the images for the photo gallery and created derivative images.

Susan Manus, Music Specialist, coordinated permissions, editorial work, and publicity; and assisted with HTML coding.

Melissa Levine, Legal Advisor, handled all copyright clearances and other legal matters.

Emily Howie, Legal Office/Librarian, assisted with all copyright clearances and permissions work.

Kerry Hamilton, Program Coordinator, assisted with copyright clearances.

Jeff Finlay, Jurretta Jordan Heckscher, Emily Lind Baker, Editors, provided editorial guidance.

Springate Corp./Amberson, Inc.

Nina Bernstein, President of Springate Corporation, and President of Amberson, Inc. has been deeply involved in all aspects of the on-line Leonard Bernstein Collection. Ms. Bernstein assisted with research and selection of items for scanning. She has been an effective advocate for the project and has gained the cooperation of Leonard Bernstein's family, friends and colleagues.
