BLM Arizona issues leases, rights-of-way and use permits for a wide variety of uses, which includes parks, power transmission lines and roads.  In addition, we manage a successful land exchange program, where Arizona BLM acquires state and private lands having high natural resources and other public values.  The San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area and the Las Cienegas Riparian NCA were acquired through such exchanges.  In return, BLM Arizona trades public lands with lesser resource value.
