APHIS works in a variety of ways to protect and improve the health, quality, and marketability of our nation's animals, animal products and veterinary biologics. VS Area Offices carry out the VS mission at the state level across the United States. Some of the programs and services provided include:

Complete and signed International Health Certificates for the export of animals from the United States must be endorsed by a Veterinary Services area office. If you have questions or concerns regarding regulations for exporting animals or animal products to a foreign country, you should contact the VS area office in the State from which the animals or products will be exported.
