Charleston District — Public Affairs Office

Welcome to the Charleston District's Public Affairs site. The Public Affairs Office mission is to foster open communication between the organization and the people we serve -- American citizens. We also work to encourage two-way communication within our organization.

The Public Affairs Office:

  • Provides advice to the Commander and senior staff members on matters involving communication.
  • Provides information on policies and programs to the media, public, and members of the Corps.
  • Upholds the Department of Defense Principles of Information ensuring the Charleston District completes its work in an open, collaborative way.
  • Provides guidance and training on communication methods/tools for our employees.
