CDC Fax Service Discontinued
On September 30, 2005, CDC discontinued the Travelers’ Health voice-fax service (888-232-3299) as part of an agency-wide consolidation of consumer information services. The toll-free International Travelers Information Line, 1-877-FYI-TRIP (1-877-394-8747), continues to provide some recorded information on specific health topics for international travelers and for medical professionals advising travelers. However, callers are no longer able to obtain fax documents. The most current and comprehensive travel health recommendations are available on the CDC Travelers’ Health website, http://www.cdc.gov/travel.
