TRAVELER'S HEALTH Updated

Update: Temporary Shortage of Typhim Vi® Vaccine
(Updated June 9 and May 31, 2005; Released February 25, 2005)

According to the manufacturer of injectable typhoid vaccine (Typhim Vi®), the vaccine is presently not available. The company plans to release a new Typhim Vi® single-dose Luer-Lok syringe in July 2005. The shortage, which began in February, was brought about by unexpected demand.
