Emergency Wound Management New
The risk for injury during and after a natural disaster is high. Tetanus is a potential health threat for persons who sustain wound injuries. Any wound or rash has the potential for becoming infected and should be assessed by a health-care provider as soon as possible. http://www.bt.cdc.gov/disasters/emergwoundhcp.asp

RADIATION
What We Learn About Radiation Threats from Movies—Fact or Fiction New
Dirty War, HBO's movie about the release of a “dirty bomb,” was screened on January 24, 2005.  If the movie made you wonder about the health threats from this type of radiation exposure and what can be done to minimize them, this site will direct you to some answers. http://www.bt.cdc.gov/radiation/movies.asp

Population Monitoring After a Release of Radioactive Material New
In recent years, people have expressed concern about the possibility of a terrorist attack involving radioactive materials, possibly through the use of a “ dirty bomb .” The CDC has prepared this fact sheet to help people understand how public health officials would monitor people following a radiological incident, and how this monitoring could be used to protect people's health. http://www.bt.cdc.gov/radiation/populationmonitoring.asp
