I realize that the lead teacher is now required to have a degree in Early Childhood Development. My question is, does that certificate have to be kept current?? I know of two lead teachers for the headstart program that is holding that position on expired credentials? And if it doesnt have to be kept current, what is the purpose of having to have that degree? The one lead has been a lead for at least 8 years on expired credetntials and the other teacher is a newly hired employee. This is a great concern to me and other employees that work for the HeadStart Program; as some of the teachers had to step down as a lead because they did not have their Associates Degree.Thank You, a Concerned HeadStart assistant
