Program Description
The Missouri Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) has two components: Energy Assistance/Regular Heating (EA) and Energy Crisis Assistance Program (ECIP). EA is designed to provide financial assistance to help pay heating bills for Missourians during the months of October, November, December, January, February, and March. Eligibility requirements for EA are based on income, family size, available resources and responsibility for payment of home heating costs. Eligibility for EA may also qualify individuals for additional financial assistance through ECIP and/or weatherization services funded by LIHEAP.

General Program Requirements
In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a resident of the state of Missouri, you must need financial assistance for home energy costs and your household's annual income before taxes must not exceed $12,762 if one person lives in the household; $17,112 if two people live in the household; $21,462 if three people live in the household; $25,812 if four people live in the household; $30,162 if five people live in the household; $34,512 if six people live in the household, $38,862 if seven people live in the household; or $43,212 if eight people live in the household. For larger households, add $4,350 for each additional person in the home.
