U.S., Yemen Coast Guard Train in Red Sea
Four Yemen Coast Guard members are brought aboard USCGC Midgett (WHEC 726) via small boat to participate in a joint training exercise and interaction patrol while in the Red Sea. During the two-day professional exchange, Midgett, a 378-foot high endurance cutter homeported in Seattle, hosted the two officers and two enlisted Yemen Coast Guard members onboard. Along with small boat approaches to interact with the local maritime community, Midgett demonstrated training in law enforcement tactics, damage control and medical training.
