Program Description
Food Stamp benefits are issued through an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) system. When benefits are approved, the benefits are posted to the client's account by 6:00 a.m. the next morning. Monthly benefits are posted to accounts by 6:00 a.m. alphabetically over seven calendar days starting with the 5th calendar day of each month. A food stamp household is defined as a group of people who purchase and prepare food together.
