Missouri State Funds

  • Govenor Matt Blunt signed legislation January 19, 2006 that provided one-time funding of $6,079,746 in state energy aid to LIHEAP. The energy assistance is available to people earning up to 125 percent of the federal poverty level. People that were having trouble paying their heating bills could receive one-time grants, which varied in amount depending on the family's size, income and heating fuel source. Those whose service had been disconnected or who had received shut off notices also were eligible for as much as $600 in emergency aid.
