The US Army Corps of Engineers at Cowanesque Lake will be taking reservations for picnic shelters starting Friday, January 2nd, 2009. From January 2nd through January 16th reservations will be taken by mail or e-mail only. Your envelope or e-mail subject line should be marked “Shelter Reservation”. All requests for reservations will be processed on a first come, first served basis. Reservation confirmations will be sent by mail, but please include a telephone number with your request.

Shelter fees for 2009 are as follows: weekend rates for shelters with electricity - $75.00 per day; weekday rates for shelters with electricity - $35.00 per day; weekend rates for shelters without electricity - $70.00 per day; weekday rates for shelters without electricity - $30.00 per day. Payment instructions will be sent with your reservation confirmation.

Shelter locations with electricity at Cowanesque Lake are Oneida, Iroquois and Cayuga Shelters. Other shelter locations include Mohawk Shelter at the Cowanesque Lake.
