The Kataa Malaria (Reject Malaria) campaign is in response to the fact that malaria is the number one killer of children in Tanzania, with an estimated 80,000 child deaths a year. However, as malaria is highly preventable and treatable, an opportunity now exists to effectively combat this disease in Tanzania and throughout sub-Saharan Africa.
