The Far East Journalism Conference was hosted by Kinnick High School, Yokosuka, Japan from 22-24 October 2007.  All twelve DODDS-Pacific/DDESS-Guam high schools participated. One hundred and twenty students had the opportunity to attend sessions dealing with yearbook layout, photo tips, ethics in journalism, and “writing the hard news.”  Individuals were selected as the best in categories ranging from sports writing to editorial writing to digital photography. The top school yearbooks and newspapers were also recognized with awards.  The event will move to Zama High School, Camp Zama, Japan next year.
