Welcome to the Library!
I hope you enjoy your time in our school library. We have over 5,000 books available for students and parent checkout. Library World is the computer program for locating books. All students are shown how to use Library World. Parents are welcome to stop by and learn anytime. We are sorry, but currently the Library World database is not accessible from outside the school.
DoDDS does provide access to two Internet information databases, ProQuest and Gale. They are easy to use, kid-friendly sites that gather information from many sources and put it together for student reading and research. These sites can be reached from home; the connect information is in the box at the top right corner of this page.
Students come to the library with their class at least once a week. They also come alone or in small groups for checkout, research, etc.
Reading Counts! is a computer based quiz program that develops your love of reading. We encourage all students to participate. Parents are welcome to create their own account. Reading together is a fantastic way to spend time with family. Read a book and then both take the quiz to see how you do!

Hours and Policies
The library is open each day from 0800 – 1430 (regular school hours). Students may return a book anytime.
Book check out limits:
Kindergarten & First Grade - 1 book
Second Grade – 2 books
Third Grade – 3 books
Fourth, Fifth & Sixth Grades – 4 books
Books are checked out for two weeks at a time. If you have an overdue book, you may not check out until it is returned or renewed. It is DoDDS policy that if a book is lost or damaged, you are asked to bring in a new book to replace it.
Parents and Homeschoolers are welcome to sign up for a library account and may check out 4 books at a time.
Reference books, Professional books, Videos and DVD’s are for staff check out only.
