Emergency Permit Procedures
Charleston District Regulatory Division recognizes that conditions resulting from potential storms during this hurricane season could necessitate emergency actions due to unacceptable hazards to life, significant loss of property, or unforeseen economic hardship.
Requests to remove and dispose of debris, repair docks and bulkheads, stabilize eroded shorelines, install temporary utility lines and access roads, replace existing roads, culverts, and bridges, dredge waterways to restore navigation or relieve flooding, and for the installation of water intake and other similar structures will be considered under emergency processing procedures.
