The Army Training and Testing Area Carrying Capacity (ATTACC) Program

Technology

The Army Training and Testing Area Carrying Capacity (ATTACC) program is a software model used to determine land rehabilitation and maintenance costs associated with land-based military training. ATTACC is part of the Army's Integrated Training Area Management (ITAM) Program, a land monitoring and management program developed at the ERDC's Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (CERL), and now mandated for all Department of Defense (DOD) installations. ITAM's purpose is to ensure training capability and provide a realistic landscape--with least impact on the environment.
