Program Description
The Summer Food Service Program was created to serve nutritious meals to children when National School Lunch and School Breakfast Program meals are not available. To ensure all Kentucky children receive proper nutrition throughout the year, SFSP reimburses organizations that prepare and serve meals to eligible children during the summer and school vacation periods.

General Program Requirements
In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a resident of the State of Kentucky, your household's annual income before taxes must not exceed $19,240 if one person lives in the household; $25,900 if two people live in the household; $32,560 if three people live in the household; $39,220 if four people live in the household; $45,880 if five people live in the household; $52,540 if six people live in the household; $59,200 if seven people live in the household; $65,860 if eight people live in the household. For larger households, add $6,660 for each additional person in the home.
