Small Business Opportunities
Small Businesses should take advantage of U.S. Laws that authorize small business preferences and incentives. See our Programs tab for information about these preferences and incentives. Contracting Officers may set aside certain procurements for small businesses provided an adequate number of small businesses are available to do the job. The Army Office of Small Business Programs may provide incentives to graduated 8(a) and other small business contractors to mentor small disadvantaged businesses through the Mentor-Protégé Program.

How to Learn about your potential Army Customer
Small business are advised to learn a little about their Army customer's mission before attempting to sell to them. Review Army customers' homepages to become familiar with the Army's need for goods and services.

Before attempting to contact the contracting officer, always check with your local Small Business Specialist first to find out how best to proceed with your efforts to win a contract.

Small Business DOD Opportunities sites
Small businesses can visit the Army Single Face to Industry website that will have the most up-to-date Army solicitations. For a complete listing of solicitations posted by all Federal agencies, firms should visit http://fedbizopps.gov

Army Competitive Sourcing
Small Businesses may also find great business opportunities at the Army Competitive Sourcing website. This site offers small businesses several opportunities to contract with Army installations as they convert government positions to contractor positions.

Residential Housing Opportunities
For opportunities in building, maintaining, and managing family houses, go to the Residential Community Initiatives site. Utilities privatization opportunities are at the Army Housing Facilities and Housing Directorate site.
