Meredith Broome
Deputy Assistant Secretary for Government Financial Policy

Meredith Broome was named the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Government Financial Policy on March 17, 2008.  She is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Federal Financing Bank and for credit and trust fund policy. 

Prior to this appointment, Broome was a Business Development Director at AOL, LLC where she structured and executed strategic partnerships.  Before joining AOL, Broome was a consultant at Bain & Company where she worked in the Private Equity Group and on projects in a variety of industries including automotive, software, technology and healthcare.  

Broome also served as a Legislative Assistant to Senator Bill Frist handling both the Education portion of his HELP Committee responsibilities and his Budget Committee duties in addition to advising him on Banking, Tax and Social Security issues.  She earned an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2002 after graduating from Duke University in 1995 with a B.A. in Public Policy.  She and her husband David have two children and live in Virginia.
