Success Stories from Vendor Outreach Sessions

Horizon Building Consulting Services (HBCS) an 8(a)/SDB/WBE Ohio based small business has had success in attending Treasury’s monthly Vendor Outreach Sessions (VOS).

Ms. Janet Bennett and team first came to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) 8(a) Seminar and were encouraged to attend The Department of the Treasury’s monthly VOS.  They took the advice and attended several sessions and one in particular the “Prime VOS” is where they met success.

During the meeting, HBCS developed a relationship with EG&G Technical Services and in January 2006 obtained a $100,000 subcontract to provide property management services.

As quoted by Ms. Bennett, “Treasury’s Small Business Program far out does any other program so much that I had to relay the message to Senator Brown”.

HBCS is still growing and looking forward to doing more business with the Department of the Treasury and its subcontractors.
