Public Meeting about Duwamish River Dredging set

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will hold a public meeting at the Delridge Branch, Seattle Public Library, October 25 from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. to initiate a dialog about future dredging of the Duwamish River navigation channel and turning basin.

The Corps held a public comment period in August to address proposed dredging in fiscal years 2007 - 2011.  Based on public comments, this meeting is being held to discuss dredging following the Dec 2006/Jan 2007 dredging event.  Typically, maintenance dredging of the Duwamish occurs every two years.

The Delridge Branch (206-733-9125) is located at 5423 Delridge Way S.W., Seattle, WA 98106.  Directions to the library are available at: http://www.spl.org/default.asp?pageID=branch_open&branchID=8
