Lake Pend Oreille rising for summer Contact: Patricia Graesser (206) 764-3760 April 5, 2002 SEATTLE—Lake Pend Oreille is now rising about 10 inches a week, according to the Seattle District, Army Corps of Engineers. The Corps operates Albeni Falls Dam, which regulates the level of Lake Pend Oreille. The Corps began raising the lake level this week and estimates the lake will be at about elevation 2,055 by the end of April. The Corps currently plans to refill the lake to its ordinary summer level of 2,062 feet above sea level by the end of June.
