New National Labor Agreement for ACF Employees Signed

New National Labor Agreement for ACF Employees SignedDr. Wade F. Horn, HHS assistant secretary for children and families, and Colleen Kelley, national president of the National Treasury Employees Union (NTEU), signed a new nationwide labor agreement covering more than 1,350 ACF employees represented by NTEU.

The agreement, signed on February 8, 2005, provides bargaining unit employees with medical flexiplace, the ability to earn more credit hours and a number of other rights and benefits that provide employees with a voice in the workplace.

The agreement was several years in the making.

Negotiations between ACF and NTEU were completed in May, 2001. NTEU ratified the negotiated agreement on October 6, 2004.

The implementation date of the new agreement is March 7, 2005.
