Conference Report Service Integration Seminar, December 2004

The purpose of this seminar was to provide State representatives the opportunity to join with Federal partners on identifying and sharing information related to service integration efforts. The conference was centered on peer-to-peer learning among participants.

State Practices in Medical Child Support Cross-Program Coordination, September 2004

Authored by Lynne Fender and Jen Bernstein. This Urban Institute report was sponsored by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation. This study describes policies and practices in CT, MN, and TX designed to coordinate the child support enforcement program, Medicaid, and SCHIP in order to secure and sustain appropriate health care coverage for child support-eligible children. Based on site visits to the 3 states, the report documents both successes in cross-program coordination as well as challenges to effective coordination.

Serving TANF and Low-Income Populations through WIA One-Stop Centers: Report on Highlights of Site Visits, January 2004

This study explores the relationship between TANF and WIA programs in aiding TANF recipients and achieving the goals of each program. By conducting site visits, the coordination of TANF and WIA was assessed to identify how the low-income population is best served to promote self-sufficiency.
