Diana J. Ohman, Director

She served as the Superintendent of Laramie County School District #1 in Cheyenne, Wyoming where she supervised 13,000 students and 1,800 educators.
Between 1995-1999, Ms. Ohman served as Wyoming's Secretary of State. Within that capacity, she served as the de facto Lieutenant Governor. She also served on five state boards and commissions during this period.
Prior to running for Secretary of State, Ohman served one term as Wyoming's State Superintendent of Public Instruction. In this capacity she supervised 49 school districts, including 100,000 students and 7,000 teachers. During this time she also was an ex officio member of the University of Wyoming Board of Trustees, the Wyoming Community College Commission, and the Wyoming State Board of Education.
Before becoming an elected official, Ohman spent 19 years as a teacher, elementary school principal, and special education director in several school districts around Wyoming. She was also the director of a migrant students' summer school program for three years.
Ms. Diana Ohman has a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a master's degree in educational administration from the University of Wyoming.
In 1990, she was honored by being named Wyoming Elementary Principal of the Year. In 1984, Ms. Ohman was the Campbell County Professional Business Woman of the Year and in 1980, she was named Campbell County Teacher of the Year.
